Who We Are

​The Consultative Council for Women’s Rights (CCWR) was established in November 2017 and started its work in January 2018, with the aim to represent women’s rights and serve as a platform the policy development and legislative proposals. The purpose of the Council is to advise the Government on issues affecting women in Malta and to present policy proposals, in the context of an ongoing dialogue with the Minister. The members of the Council are appointed from among persons active in organizations working in the field of women’s rights. Ms Charmaine Mangion is currently the Chairperson for the Consultative Council for Women’s Rights.​
