Anti-Racism Platform Meeting – 13 March 2023

On the 13th of March 2023, an Anti-Racism Platform meeting took place at the Valletta Design Cluster, facilitated by Kopin and with the presence of HRD representatives. The meeting opened with the introduction of participants and the presentation of ongoing work on the different Anti-Racism Strategy measures. This was followed by a fruitful round of discussion and feedback between the members on specific points, as well as the exchange of suggestions on how to build inclusion within future activities. A call for members interested in becoming more involved in the process and being a part of the ARP Committee was also extended.

END-RACISM-MT Launch Conference – 26 April 2023

The Launch Conference of the ‘Towards the implementation of an Anti-Racism Strategy for Malta’ (END-RACISM-MT) project was held on the 26th of April 2023. Project partners and stakeholders convened to discuss the implementation of the Anti-Racism Strategy and assessed where we currently stand in this area of equality and the path ahead. During the conference a high number of participants and institutions were present which led to a fruitful discussion based on the reports presented by the project leader and project coordinator as well as the project partners NCPE and Kopin. Furthermore, an Anti-Rumours workshop was held by project partner Diversit.

Anti-Rumours Workshop – 26 April 2023

Project partner Diversit moderated workshops on the Anti-Rumours Strategy which were held during the project’s Launch Conference on Wednesday 26th April with the participation of diverse key stakeholders.

Outcomes of the workshops will feed into the first Anti-Rumours Strategy at a national level which is being piloted by this project. This pioneering step is a good practice that we hope will be adopted in other contexts. The Anti-Rumours Strategy within the project deliverables is one of the tangible outcomes of the healthy working relationship HRD enjoys with the Council of Europe.

Training for Anti-Rumour Agents

Training for Anti-Rumour Agents was delivered by Diversit on the 30th November and 1st December. These agents will be equipped to combat negative racist discourse.

Mid-Term Conference of END-RACISM-MT

The Mid-Term conference of the ‘Towards the implementation of an Anti-Racism Strategy for Malta’ (END-RACISM-MT) project was held on the 29th of November 2023. During the conference further reports and research were presented by the project partners. These reports can be found on the ‘Resources and Materials’ page.
