EU Anti-Trafficking Day 2024

Posters and leaflets on THB were disseminated to government entities including health centres, and other areas which may be visited by potential victims of THB. The posters and leaflets include indicators of human trafficking that encourage self-assessment and include the relevant numbers for assistance.

A training session organised by the International Organization for Migration on THB was attended by HRIU. This training formed part of the “Access to Justice” project funded by the British High Commission. Ms. Helen Gordos, Technical Advisor at the National Crime Agency’s Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Unit from the UK delivered the training. Topics of discussion included the national and international legislation on human trafficking, trends and patterns, the duty to investigate and the principle of non-punishment illustrating with case studies from around the world.
