CONNACT (CONNECTING THROUGH ADULT COMMUNITY TRAINING)
ConnACT (Connecting through Adult Community Training) is an Erasmus+ funded project that aims to promote socially cohesive societies through the implementation of inclusive, equal and non-discriminatory integration programmes. Such programmes are adapted to the migrants’ needs, aspirations, abilities and other characteristics that cater for the countries’ socio-economic context. Through research on existing initiatives and mutual learning between project partners, the ACT (Adult Community Training) Toolkit will propose innovative good practices which can be adapted for specific EU Member State contexts and needs.
ConnACT’s objective is aligned with Policy Goal 3, Measure 13 of Malta’s Integration Strategy and Action Plan (2025-2030), whereby integration needs of migrants and the local community in Malta will be identified and best practices from national and international integration programmes will be gathered.
The project’s activities are aimed at:
Establishing a consortium with 3 other partners with different integration programmes, allowing for exchange of practices and fruitful discussions on integration.
Mapping information and good practices on existing integration programmes for adults. This will serve as the basis of the ACT Toolkit.
Developing an ACT Toolbox showcasing practical ways of implementing innovative ACT initiatives within national integration programmes and other integration actions.
Reporting on recommendations for future projects to promote education, civic engagement and participation for adults.
The project is being implemented in partnership with Regione Emilia-Romagna (Italy), Migration Policy Group, Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (Finland).
