HUMAN TRAFFICKING MONITORING COMMITTEE (HTMC)

Article 19 of Directive 2011/36/EU and Article 29 of the Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings require the establishment of a national rapporteur or equivalent mechanism, tasked with the assessment of trends in human trafficking, measuring of results of anti-trafficking actions, and monitoring of anti-trafficking activities of State institutions and the implementation of national legislation requirements.
 
By virtue of its monitoring function, the Committee shall complement the role of the national rapporteur or equivalent mechanism, endorsing and overseeing developments in the implementation of the National Strategy and Action Plan and of other related measures by providing policy direction.​
