The LGBTIQ Consultative Council​
 
The Consultative Council met on a quarterly basis and was kept updated on the implementation of the LGBTIQ Equality Strategy and Action Plan. It also had on its agenda various initiatives and processes. Further information on the LGBTIQ Consultative Council can be found here​.
 
Funding
 
The government offered financial aid to the Allied Rainbow Communities in support of Pride Week for four consecutive years.
 
In 2020, the Ministry for the Family, Children’s Rights and Social Solidarity renewed the Public Social Partnership agreement with the Malta LGBTIQ Rights Movement with Eur 135,000 funding provided over a three-year period. The Grant goes towards the running of the Rainbow Support Services.
 
In December 2019, the Ministry for European Affairs and Equality pledged a €45,000 Grant to OII Europe to be disbursed over a three-year period. Two installments of this grant were disbursed in December 2019 and December 2020. The grant went towards supporting the advocacy efforts of OII Europe, an organisation that works to advance the rights of Intersex persons.

Following Malta’s winning bid to host Euro-Pride 2023, the Government of Malta has pledged to help support this event with a grant of €300,000 that will be released in favour of Allied Rainbow Communities over a period of three years building up to the event.​
