UN Blue Heart Campaign

The Blue Heart Campaign is a global awareness raising initiative to fight human trafficking and its impact on society, leading to the 30th of July – the UN World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. It seeks to encourage involvement from governments, civil society, the corporate sector, and individuals alike, to inspire action and held prevent this crime. The Blue Heart represents the sadness of those who are trafficked whilst reminding us of the cold-heartedness of those who buy and sell human beings.

Malta’s annual commitment towards the Blue Heart Campaign is also enshrined in the Electoral Manifesto whereby the Government commits itself to widen its efforts to fight this crime.
