The EU Charter of Fundamental Rights in Malta

FRA has published Charter-country-sheets for each Member State including Malta. This document focuses on the EU Charter as an obligation and when Maltese authorities are required to apply it; how the Charter is used in Malta; the Charter’s added value; and the Charter as a young instrument. CharterXchange

The CharterXchange is a forum for legal practitioners and stakeholders to explore current and potential applications of the EU’s Charter of Fundamental Rights and its role in driving positive changes for people’s rights. It convenes annually in December: the 1st Annual EU CharterXchange was held in December 2023, and was organised by FRA In collaboration with the European Commission. 2023 Charter report

The 2023 Charter report provides a fundamental rights perspective on access to justice for all through judicial and non-judicial remedies, by giving an overview of the relevant EU legislation and of the recent developments (2020-2023).
